Coughlan’s Law is family-focused and people-centric, which means we put you and your needs first. Whether you’re settling a loved one’s estate or filing a claim for workers’ compensation, the fundamentals are the same: Joe and Kristine take the time to get to know every client and their unique situation, provide education for a clear understanding of the process, and deliver stellar legal work that gets results.

Since childhood, Joe and Kristine knew they wanted to be attorneys someday. Although Kristine lived in New Jersey, and Joe was raised here in Florida, they shared the same dream to help those in their community.

Kristine met Joe at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University College of Law while attending a Stonewall LGBTQA Law Student Association event. They became President and Vice President of the organization and collaborated closely on a number of projects. The two began dating after graduation. In 2020, Kristine and Joe got married in a COVID-style backyard ceremony, and the rest is history.

They have both worked for a variety of large and small firms and, as a team, chose to do more. To do better. In 2020, they opened the doors at Coughlan’s Law to create a different kind of firm. A firm with a personable culture and relatable approach.
